Cargo Safari Collection

I am a weak soul and was tempted by a giant Winners where I have been working recently. I saw this cute little post card lookalike and was instantly drawn to it. It is the Cargo Safari Collection from 2012 and it was only $14.99 CAD. There were 5 of them but a lady came by and swipe them all not before I picked up one myself and after that that I couldn't bare to part from it and walked over to the register and cradled it all the way to my car. Crazy ? Maybe just a little. Regretful? Never!

Adore =)

Bare Escentuals The Truth Palette

As a belated birthday present, a friend got me a gift card and I decided to walk into Sephora and buy something that I did not need at all. So I decided on the bare Minerals eyeshadow quad which I have heard some good reviews. I decided on The Truth, someone neutral that I will actually wear; I don't remember the last time I wore actually colours. Although I was not allow to buy anymore eyeshadow, I thought I make an exception since technically I am not paying for it ;)

'
$36 CAD at Sephora.

It has similar packaging as NARS and it attracts hella a lot of dust as you can see =(
So cute HELLO to you too ;)

swatch done while waiting at a red light =)

Bath and Body Haul

Hey beauties, wanted to show you my favourite body moisturizer. Bath and Body's triple moisture is my fave and they smell fantastic. There was a promotion going on for Buy 3 get 3 free so had to jump on that.

40 Carrots

These were purchased from the Winners at Hwy 7 & Woodbine near First Markham Place. I got both for $8.99 CAD each; their original price is super inexpensive as well being less than $20 each.  I've been big on more natural product recently so thought I give these a try. Buy Here

Korres Haul

Hey boys and girls, I have been very naughty recently and have been buying a lot of skincare and makeup when I already have so much. It was such a good deal that I just could not resist!!! There has just been so many sales going on recently that I just couldn't pass up on cause I would be so disappointed in myself.

This is yet another Winner's haul, it is probably one of my favourite stores for random things that I don't necessarily need but will buy because it is such a good deal. Not sure if that made any sense whatsoever. I picked up these things from a Winners in Pickering off of Brock exit which is about 15 min from Toronto. They had a bunch of Korres and Smashbox makeup items that were extremely discounted. I picked up only 3 things although I wanted a lot more. I picked up 2 blushes at $5.99CAD (originally $24.00CAD) each which is probably cheaper than any decent drugstore blushes from Revlon, Maybelline and Cover Girl. I also picked up a setting powder from Korres for $6.99CAD(originally $25.00CAD).

I do not currently own anything from the brand but was interested in it because of their skincare and makeup are formulated without parabens, sulfates, synthetic fragrances and phthalates.

Pros:
- finely milled and doesn't feel heavy
- decent at preventing disco ball syndrome
- paraben free
- sleek packaging
- large mirror inside good for touch ups
- did not extenuate dry patches making it good for all skin types
- free from mineral oil, propylene glycol, and ethanolamine

Cons:
- sheer; more like a translucent powder
- crappy sponge provided
- this formula might be discontinued (New Formula)

Applications:
- best done with a super fluffy and medium density powder brush

I got this shade with the intention of using it as a bronzer. It does have small amounts of shimmer in the product and with swatches it proves to have the tiniest sheen with orange undertone hence the name. I was disappointed with this product simply because it could not function as a bronzer and I was not over impress with the pigmentations.

Pro:
- nice packaging with mirror
- soft and finely milled

Cons:
- weird smell
- sheer as hell
- too much shimmer
- poor colour choice on my part

Shisheido Sale

There was a Shisheido sale in Markham a week ago and since I was on my week off I decided to go check it out. I had to line up for 30 minutes outside before I even got a chance to get near the crowded counters. I was not impressed but it was expected. I did not buy too many things just because of the crowd and the fact that my lovely boyfriend was with me. I picked up the Shisheido Ulta Sun Protection Cream for $34CAD which is a steal because they usually run for $35 USD which would probably cost me $40CAD. Buy Here I already own the Ultra Sun Protection Lotion which I adore so I thought I give this a try.

They also had all the skincare line from Sheishido at discounted prices and to my surprise they also had NARS products which I was super excited about. They have a variety of single, duo and trio eyeshadows but the only one that appeal to me was Exotic Dance. They had a bunch of other ones but when I was getting ready that morning I told myself that I really shouldn't be getting any more eyeshadows because I have a whole drawer full. So I settled with one which I thought was reasonable considering they go for $34USD on the Sephora website. Buy Here I believe these colours have been discontinued though because I cannot find it on the Sephora website.

I like the gold in the duo and find that the lighter shade could be use as a highlight as well. =)

Smashbox Haul

This is what I picked up while I was at Lisa's Cosmetic Sale about 2 weeks ago. I got all the 2 face products for $10CAD and the brow tech for $8.50, which was amazing!!

I got the Soft Light in Tint as a highlight and it provides a nice sheen. Thumbs up=)

I did not like the skin tint at all because as you can see it is not very pigmented although it looks super bright in the tube. I got this originally thinking that it would be amazing colour for the summer without looking cakey in the summer but the colour payment is poo. The swatch above was after 10 swatches back and forth and you can get the colour to show up but you really have to work at it. I have yet to use it on my lips so I cannot comment on how it shows up on the lips.

I have yet to use the brow tech yet but the colour matches my brow fairly well from swatches.
